8 Bible Verses To Read After An Exhausting Monday

October 23, 2018

So Monday can hit us like a ton of bricks. I know my spirit tends to drag as I haul myself into the office. I find myself reciting “What I’m grateful for,” lists as I walk to the subway, blasting gospel in my headphones to try to drown out the negativity.

I’ve found throughout the day, especially around 2:00pm, I start slumping back into the same ol’ Monday blues. Having some go-to bible verses can help refresh your mind and spirit throughout the day.

Here are a few favorites:

For Renewing Your Mind

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. -Psalm 51:10

For Gratitude

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you. This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” -Psalm 118:28

For Being Hopeful

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. -Psalm 27:13

For Strength

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. -Philippians 4:13

For Financial Abundance

Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. -Collosians 3:24

For Future Confidence

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11'

For Commitment Issues

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. -Proverbs 16:3

For How To Conduct Yourself In The Workplace

In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. -Titus 2:7-8
